Testimonials and case notes from law firms, clinics, and accounting practices that worked with Magnolia Core on retention planning.
Voices from the field
Tax practice — post-filing advisory uptake
Our coordinators used to send a generic “let us know if you need anything” email after corporate tax filings. Magnolia helped us tie each follow-up to a specific regulatory change affecting that client’s industry. Advisory meeting bookings rose, though we are still training junior staff on when to escalate to a partner. The scripts reduced awkwardness—staff finally knew what to say.

Family medicine clinic — young adult transition
We lost patients when teenagers left for university and never booked adult appointments. The transition letter and complimentary screening offer felt personal, not corporate. Uptake is slower than I hoped—maybe one in four families responds—but parents mention it in surveys, which tells me the message landed.
— Dr. Chen Mei-Ling, family medicine clinic, New Taipei City
Boutique law firm — matter closure discipline
Partners assumed clients would return when needed. The audit showed we closed matters without telling clients how to reach us for related issues. We now send a closure summary with three bullet points: what we did, what to watch for, and who to call. Referrals from existing clients ticked up within a year. I wish we had tracked complaint resolution time from day one—the plan included it but we delayed.
— Attorney Huang Yi-Ting, commercial litigation boutique, Taipei
Extended case note: multi-site dental group
A dental group with four locations in northern Taiwan engaged us for a retention audit in 2023. Hygienists at different sites used incompatible recall intervals. Front desks could not see when a family panel member visited another branch.
Constraints: No CRM replacement budget; leadership wanted changes live within one quarter.
Our work: Mapped recall paths per treatment type, unified a 14-day / 6-month / 12-month recall ladder, and assigned each location a “recall captain” who reviews a weekly list. Templates for SMS and postcard recalls were rewritten to mention the treating dentist by name.
Outcome after nine months: Group-wide recall completion improved; the operations director credits clearer ownership more than the wording changes. They booked a renewal workshop ahead of the next insurance-contract season.
Reservation: The group still struggles with same-day cancellation follow-up—touchpoint review scoped for 2025.
